Mankind’s thriving civilization was brought to a halt by the sudden appearance of dimensional “Rifts.”​ From these Rifts, divine beings emerged, ruthlessly destroying and pillaging civilizations. Mankind called them the «Forsaken Gods.»​ Despite resistance, mankind could not find a way to counter the barriers created by these «Forsaken Gods» and the Oblivia phenomenon, which turned humans into abominations.​
